Configuring a server

After installing the server on the PC, change the settings required for optimizing BLAZE performance.
  • Configuring storage drive settings
    Set up your storage to ensure a minimum of 70 GB of free storage space. (To ensure stable operation, at least 100 GB of free disk space is recommended)
    • It is recommended to set up the server storage disk as a separate disk from the system disk. If your PC only has the C:\ drive, you can set the system drive as the storage drive.
  • Disabling storage drive indexing

    It is recommended to disable indexing after installing the server. See the following to disable indexing:

    • Stop the Windows Search service and change the Startup type to Disabled.
    • Uncheck the drive path in Indexing Options > Modify.
    • Disable file properties and content indexing for this drive in the drive's properties.
  • Configuring virus scan software

    To optimize server performance, it is recommended to adjust the settings of the virus scanning software. Add any items to exclude from scanning or set as exceptions that may impact the operation of the server.

  • Configuring network firewall

    The network communication of the server may be blocked by a firewall. It is recommended to set BLAZE application software and network ports as exceptions in the firewall. Some antivirus software includes firewall functions, so make sure to check the antivirus software you are using as well.
