Similarity search

To search for similar objects

1. On the Home page, click Objects.
2. Select the filters to use for the search. (For detailed options, see Searching for an object.)
3. Event thumbnails that match the selected filters are displayed in the Results panel.
4. Select the thumbnail image of the object you want to use for the Similarity search in the Results panel.
   Note: This feature is available only for cameras that support Similarity search.
5. Click the icon on the selected image, or right-click the image and select Show similar objects.
   • Only similar objects are displayed in the Results panel.
   • Results are displayed in real time in the Results panel as they are found, without waiting for the entire search to complete.
   • By default, results are grouped by confidence level and displayed in descending order of confidence.
   • Each search result displays the exact time (hour and minute) when the object was detected.
   • You can stop the search at any time. Results displayed before the search is stopped remain visible.
6. Adjust the confidence level in 5 steps from the left panel.
   • The default value is Medium. Adjust the confidence level to fine-tune search accuracy.

Selecting a search result thumbnail in the Results panel immediately plays the recorded video from the moment the object was detected in the Preview panel.

Enabling Similarity search

To use Similarity search, the feature must be enabled on the corresponding camera in advance.

1. On the Home page, click Settings or click on the tab bar.
2. In the left menu panel, select Devices, and then select a camera that supports Similarity search from the camera list.
3. In the right settings panel, select the Objects tab, and then select the Enable similarity search checkbox.
