Register and manage Audio Beacon devices in BLAZE.

Registering an Audio Beacon

For information on how to register an Audio Beacon with BLAZE, see Adding a device.

Audio Beacon devices are displayed with the icon.

Note: Audio Beacon is a dedicated audio detection device. When the device is registered, a profile with Audio input enabled is automatically created.

Setting sound classification

  1. Click Settings > Devices.
  2. In the device list on the Device settings page, select an Audio Beacon device.
  3. In the Device settings panel, click the Event > Sound classification tab, and then turn on Sound classification.
  4. Configure the sound types to detect and audio clip storage. For detailed settings, see Sound classification.
  5. Click Apply.

Setting event rules

You can set event rules that include the sound classification event trigger for Audio Beacon devices. For more information on setting event rules, see Setting an event trigger.

When an Audio Beacon device is registered in BLAZE, the following default event rule is automatically created if no existing rule uses the Sound classification trigger.
  • Event rule name: Audio Beacon event
  • Trigger: Sound classification
  • Action: Show notification
