Mobile client settings
Log in to the mobile client to configure live preview settings and view downloaded files.
To set up the mobile client
- Log in to the mobile client.
- Tap More at the bottom of the screen.
- Change the desired settings:
- Server information: Displays information about the connected local server or cloud.
- If you are logged in to Hanwha Vision Cloud, information about the connected systems and the current cloud account is displayed.
- Live previews in the devices list: Displays live preview video in the camera list. If you turn off this option, screenshot images are displayed instead.
- Enable biometric authentication: Toggle it on to log in to the client using facial or fingerprint recognition. This feature is only available if the device where the client is installed supports facial or fingerprint recognition.
- Downloads: Check the download progress of videos, and tap a completed download to view it directly in the Photos or Gallery app on your mobile device.
- Disconnect / Change system: Disconnect from the currently connected server or cloud and connect to another system. Note: If you are logged in with a cloud account, tap the cloud account to configure the following settings:
- Push notifications: Turn on this option to receive notifications from BLAZE.
- There may be a delay of several seconds before recorded video is saved to the database and becomes available in the mobile client.
- Push notifications: Turn on this option to receive notifications from BLAZE.
- Server information: Displays information about the connected local server or cloud.
Push notification setup
Configure BLAZE push notifications on the mobile client. Push notifications can be received even when the mobile client is closed. Push notifications are triggered by rules assigned in the BLAZE desktop client.
- In the More tab, turn on Push notifications.
- To receive push notifications, you must grant the app permission to access Notifications in your mobile device settings.
Note: Even if push notifications are enabled, notifications are not delivered when the user is logged out of the cloud account.
Status diagnostics
If an error occurs while using the mobile app, press and hold the app version number at the bottom of the startup screen to start collecting troubleshooting logs. You can then export the logs by email or another method for error analysis.
- You can select a log collection duration of 1 minute, 3 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour. During the selected period, all logs are collected automatically without requiring a log type selection.
- While log collection is in progress, the version number remains visible together with a status message showing the remaining time.
- You can manually stop log collection by pressing and holding the version number again. When the collection period ends or you stop the collection manually, the log file is automatically saved to the device. Logs collected up to the point of termination are saved even if the app is force-closed.
- If there is insufficient storage space, a warning message appears indicating that the file cannot be saved.
- When log collection is complete, information about the file location is displayed.
- iOS: You can open the Files app. Because direct navigation to the target folder is not supported, a share sheet appears at the bottom of the screen. You can send the file directly by email or through your preferred messaging service.
- Android: The folder where the file is saved opens directly.
Mobile client permissions setup
Configure permissions for the device on which the mobile client is installed.
Note: If the required permissions are not granted, you may be unable to save screenshots or videos.
- To use the BLAZE mobile client properly, allow access to the following items in your mobile device settings. (When you log in to the client for the first time, the notification settings page appears automatically. Tap Enable notifications to allow notification access.)
- Android: Notifications, Gallery app
- iOS: Notifications, Local network access, Photos app
