Register thermal cameras in BLAZE and configure color palettes and other settings used to represent detected temperature distributions.

Registering a thermal camera

For information on how to register a thermal camera in BLAZE, see Adding a device.

For single-channel cameras
  • Only one thermal channel is registered; the number of channels is not shown separately.
  • The thermal camera is shown in the device list with the thermal camera icon.

For multi-channel cameras

  • Both visible-light and thermal channels are registered; users cannot select only desired channels to register.
  • Each channel is displayed individually in the device list, the same as for general multi-channel cameras.
  • Typically channel 1 is the visible-light video channel and channel 2 is the thermal channel.
  • In the device list it is shown with the multi-channel camera icon.

To configure the color palette

Set the color palette used to display the temperature distribution detected by the thermal camera in various colors.

  1. Click Settings > Devices, then select the thermal camera in the device panel.
  2. In the device Details panel, click the Webpage tab.
  3. On the camera webpage, click in the top-left, then choose Video & Audio > Temperature image setup.
  4. Click the Temperature setup tab and select the desired color palette from the Color palette list. The selected palette is applied immediately in the thermal camera preview in the web viewer.
    • White hot: Represents high-to-low temperatures from white to black.
    • Black hot: Represents high-to-low temperatures from black to white.
    • Rainbow: Represents high-to-low temperatures in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and indigo.
    • Rainbow2: Represents high-to-low temperatures in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
    • Custom: Represents high-to-low temperatures from orange to black.
    • Sepia: Represents high-to-low temperatures from yellow to black.
    • Red: Represents high-to-low temperatures from black to red.
    • Iron: Represents high-to-low temperatures from yellow to purple.
    • Red-WH: The configured temperature range is displayed in red; other areas use white-to-black for high-to-low temperatures.
    • Iron-WH: The configured temperature range is shown from yellow to purple; other areas use white-to-black for high-to-low temperatures.
    • Midrange-WH: The configured temperature range is shown from yellow to orange; other areas use white-to-black for high-to-low temperatures.
Note: Color palette settings are applied to BLAZE live video in real time.
