Adding a device
Add network devices, including cameras, using these methods:
- Auto scan: Scans the connectable network to find all devices. (Adding a device with auto scan)
- Manual scan: Enter an IP range to scan and find devices. (Adding a device with manual scan)
- Known address: Enter a specific IP address to find a device. (Adding a device using an IP address)
- Stream URL: Enter an RTSP or HTTP URL to add a stream device. (Adding a device by stream URL)
Note: Only users with the Administrator role or device settings permission can add devices.
NVR (Network Video Recorder) devices
Adding an NVR to BLAZE enables playback of recorded footage stored on the NVR. The video is played directly from the NVR and is not stored separately on the BLAZE server.
When registering an NVR, you cannot select individual sub-channels. All channels included in the NVR are registered together (e.g., a 64-channel NVR registers all 64 channels at once).
After registration, NVR channels appear in the device list in one of the following states:
- White: The camera is registered with the NVR and is connected.
- Gray with an X icon: The camera is not registered with the NVR.
- White with an X icon: The camera is registered with the NVR but is currently disconnected.
Note: If a new camera is added to a registered NVR, previously gray channels change to white and the X icon is removed.
