Event action settings
When adding an event rule card, select the event trigger card and configure the event action card. When the event trigger is detected, the configured action executes to notify users of the event by performing preconfigured actions such as triggering an alarm, sending an email, moving a preset, or recording video. The event actions that can be configured are as follows.
Note:
- The options available for event actions may vary depending on the types of devices connected to BLAZE. For example, the Show call notification action is available only when an intercom device is connected to BLAZE.
- While event actions apply to all users by default, they can be configured to run only for specific users.
- Show notification: When an event occurs, an alarm is displayed on the top bar of BLAZE, along with detailed information in the Events tab.
- Set a user to display the event alarm for.
- Select Custom notification content to enter the title and description to be displayed in the alarm. For example, if there is a significant event that a monitoring operator needs to verify, set the title to the actions the operator should take and the description to the relevant details.
- Select Limit frequency to set the occurrence interval for event alarms. The interval can be set within the range of 1–999. For example, if the interval is set to 5 minutes, even if the same event occurs multiple times within 5 minutes, only one alarm is displayed. If alarms occur excessively at certain locations, setting the occurrence interval can help reduce the number of alarms.
- Record video: The recording of the selected device starts when the event occurs.
- Begin and Continue for settings allow configuration of pre-recording and post-recording times. Enter the duration for recording video before and after an event occurs. Pre-recording can be set between 0–30 seconds, and post-recording between 1–400 seconds.
- In Source devices, add other devices in addition to the source device. The source device refers to the camera where the event trigger occurred. When the configured event trigger occurs, the source device camera records the event video. If other cameras are installed near the source device, select those cameras to additionally record footage. Video from cameras in other locations can also be checked, allowing for more accurate verification of the event.
- The source camera records the event by default, even if no separate event action is configured.
- Open layout: When an event occurs, the specified layout is executed.
- A layout is a set of cameras and other items configured on a single screen. In a layout, monitor live video from multiple devices, play back saved recordings, and use various search functions.
- When selecting the Layout to execute, only shared layouts are displayed. If there are no shared layouts, the message "No shared layouts" is displayed.
- Set the User for executing the action.
- If the layout set in the event action is deleted, a warning icon appears in the action card.
- Set to fullscreen: The event is displayed in full screen when it occurs.
- Switches to full screen when the selected Layout is being monitored and includes a camera.
- Only shared layouts are displayed in the selection list.
- Create bookmark: When an event occurs, the video from the selected device is recorded and set as a bookmark.
- Set pre-recording and post-recording times in Begin and Continue for.
- Trigger alarm output: When an event occurs, the alarm output connected to the device activates. For details on each alarm output, see Alarm I/O settings.
- Click Select outputs to choose the output ports that will be triggered when the event occurs.
- In Set to, select whether the alarm output should be turned on (Active) or off (Inactive) when the event occurs.
- In Duration, choose the length of time the action set in Set to will remain active.
- Activate PTZ preset: The PTZ preset of the selected device executes when the event occurs.
- Click Select devices to select the preset of the PTZ camera.
- Send HTTP request: Sends an HTTP request to an external system when the event occurs.
- URL: Enter the target URL to send the request to. Required; up to 500 characters, spaces not allowed, special characters allowed, case-sensitive. If the URL contains a space, a warning message is displayed.
- HTTP method: Select the HTTP method. You can choose from POST (default), GET, PUT, and DELETE.
- Request body: Enter the data to send. Optional; up to 500 characters, spaces allowed, special characters allowed, case-sensitive. The Content-Type is determined automatically based on the entered value. (Supported formats: text/plain, text/html, application/html, application/json, application/xml)
