Alarm I/O overview

Monitor the device's alarm input and output status. Both the camera's internal I/O ports and external I/O ports connected via an I/O box are displayed.

To view the Alarm I/O list

  1. On the Home page, click View.
  2. In the View tab navigation bar, click Alarm I/O.
  3. The left panel displays alarm outputs and inputs categorized by output and input.
    • The active/inactive status of each port is displayed.
    • The current connection status of each port is displayed.
    • Select a port, right-click, and click I/O settings to go to the event rule settings page.

Monitoring Alarm I/O on the map

Use the map feature to monitor the following states of each output/input port on the map:
  • Connection status: Disconnected, Unauthorized
  • Post-connection status: Active, Inactive
  • Unused status: Disabled

  1. On the Home page, click View.
  2. In the View tab navigation bar, click Maps.
  3. From the map list, double-click the desired map or drag it to the Scene panel to load it.
    • To add a new map, click at the bottom left of the map panel, click Add map > Add background, then Save.
  4. Click Edit map at the top right. Then, click Alarm I/O in the navigation bar. Drag an alarm input or output from the list and drop it into position on the map.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Select an alarm input item on the map and right-click to display the following shortcut menu:
    • Open: Opens the source device video for the corresponding alarm input or output port in a new tab.
    • Open in new window: Opens the source device video for the corresponding alarm input or output port in a new BLAZE window.
    • I/O settings: Goes to the settings page for the corresponding alarm input or output port.

Manual alarm output

Control alarms connected to the device to manually trigger alarm outputs when needed.

If an added alarm item's state is Active or Inactive, click the alarm output item to toggle its active state.

This feature only works when the map is in View mode.
