Searching for a motion in the View tab
The Motion panel immediately displays motion detection events within the timeline range of the selected device, so important events are not missed. Click a motion in the Motion panel to play the recorded video on the device item in the layout.
Note: To use the motion search feature, configure the detailed settings in
the Motion tab in the Devices menu. For more information, see Configuring motion settings.
To search for a motion in the View tab
- On the Home page, click View.
- Click Motion on the View tab navigation bar.
- In the Motion panel, select filters,
- Filter by device: Select Selected device to search for motion from only the selected device.
- Filter by area: Select Select area to create a detection area in the device item. Only motion events that occurred in the selected area will be searched.
- Even if you do not set a detection area, motions will be displayed based on the motion detection settings of the selected device you set in the Devices menu. If you have set the detection area in the Motion settings to Entire view, events occurring on the entire screen will be displayed, not just in specific areas.
- Filter by time: Select a time range to search for motion. The default is Last 12 hours.
- Click a thumbnail in the Motion panel to play it in the Scene panel.
- Right-click the event to display a shortcut menu. Click Export video to save the video as a file.
