Timeline panel
In the Timeline panel, play the video of the selected device and use various functions while playing.
Understanding timeline features
The timeline features used for playing recorded video are described below.

| ❶ | Zoom in or out on the timeline | Zoom in or out on the timeline to adjust the time display
scale.

| ❷ | Adjust the volume | Adjust the audio volume of the video. |
| ❸ | Adjust the playback speed | Choose from available options to adjust the playback speed of
the video.

| ❹ | Control the playback | Play or pause the video.
|
| ❺ | Display the histogram | Show or hide a histogram of the Objects, Motion, and Events occurrence frequency on the timeline. |
| ❻ | Search thumbnails | Show or hide thumbnails of the currently playing video. Display thumbnails by evenly dividing the timeline display range. |
| ❼ | Search time | Select the date and time to search for the video. Choose
the date from the Calendar panel and enter the time
directly.

| ❽ | Synchronize and play videos | Synchronize and play videos from multiple devices at the same
time.

| ❾ | Choose Live mode | Switch to Live mode for real-time monitoring. |
| ❿ | Section display bar | Indicates the current playback position of the video. If
there is recorded video, a section display bar in green will
appear.

Timeline shortcut keys
When you select a section on the timeline, a shortcut menu bar will appear at the top left corner.
- Selected range: Display the date and time information of the selected range on the timeline.
(Loop playback): Repeatedly plays the video in the selected section.
(Add bookmark): Sets the video of the selected section as a bookmark.
(Export video): Exports the selected section of video to a file.
(Clear selection): Deselects the selected range.
(Use selected range in time filter): Applies the selected range to the time filters in the right panel (Objects, Motion, Events, Bookmarks).
