Viewing the devices a user can access

View the list of devices, including cameras, that the selected user can access. Users can view live streams from the assigned devices and can only use the features selected in Permissions.
Note:
  • Super administrator and Administrator can use all devices. The Devices tab displays the complete list of devices registered in BLAZE.
  • In the Devices tab, only the list of devices available to the role assigned to the user is shown. To modify the detailed settings of the role, see Configuring role settings.

To view the devices a user can access

  1. Click Settings > Users.
  2. Select the desired user from the list of users.
  3. In the User settings panel, click the Devices tab.
  4. View the devices assigned to the user.

Setting custom permissions for a user device

When Custom permissions is selected in the Assign permissions section in the Add new user dialog, devices can be assigned differently for each user.

To set custom permissions for a user device
  1. Select the desired user from the list of users.
  2. In the User settings panel, click the Devices tab.
  3. Select the permissions you want to assign to the user.
    • Toggle All devices to On to select all devices connected to BLAZE. With the All devices toggle in the On state, all devices are selected, and individual devices cannot be selected.
    • Enter the device name in the search bar to quickly find the desired device.
    • If the selected device belongs to a device group, the device group will be displayed together.
    • Click to choose what to display in the list.
      • Show IP: Displays the IP address of the device.
      • Filter...: Displays the list of devices by applying filter options.
        • None: Displays all devices without applying filters.
        • Selected: Only displays devices that have been selected in the list of devices.
        • Unselected: Displays only the devices not selected in the list of devices.
  4. After completing the settings, click Apply.
