Playing the video
Play videos stored in BLAZE in the Scene panel in the View tab. Set the playback speed or select synchronization for playback. Devices being monitored in real-time and added to the layout will play videos on their respective items, while videos from devices not included in the layout will be played on an item in the layout.


To play the video
Click the timeline of the device or click the video in the Devices panel to play the video in the layout.
- On the Home page, click View.
- Click Devices on the View tab navigation bar.
- Select the device to play the video in the Scene panel.
- Click Timeline on the View tab navigation bar.
- Change the time scale of the timeline by scrolling the mouse wheel. The timeline can be zoomed in or out within a range of 1 second to 1 year.
- Select the desired section and play the video.
- Move the mouse over the timeline to display a time marker. Move the mouse to change the playback position.

to navigate to the previous event/next event. - Click
/
to navigate to the previous frame/next frame.
Adjusting audio volume
Devices capable of audio input store both video and audio together. Adjust the audio volume while playing the video.
- Audio is only saved on devices that allow audio input.
- When playing the video at 1x speed, only the audio is played, and the audio formats supported by BLAZE are G.711U, G726, and AAC.
- Setting the audio slider to the minimum value will mute the sound with
displayed.
Fast playback
While playing video, increase or decrease the playback speed. The default playback speed is 1x, and the playback speed can be set to forward or reverse. Playback speeds of 0.25x, 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, and 4x are supported for playing the entire frames, while only I-frames are played at 8x and 16x speeds.
- Forward playback speeds: 0.25x, 0.5x, 1x. 1.5x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x
- Reverse playback speeds: -0.25x, -0.5x, -1x. -1.5x, -2x, -4x, -8x, -16x
- Select the playback speed from the drop-down menu or adjust it using the slider.
Viewing the event histogram
In the Timeline panel, view the histogram that reflects the amount and trend of events occurring for each type of motion, event, and object.
- Click
in the timeline to display the number of events occurring in the current playing timeline and their trend on a graph. The values and sizes of the graph may vary depending on the time scale of the timeline. - If an object is selected, event histograms are displayed per person, face, vehicle, and license plate.
Synchronizing and playing videos
Click
to synchronize and play all videos in the current layout based on the selected device's time. When synchronized, the icon changes to
. Controlling video playback in the selected channel will also control other videos in the same way.
- Channels without recorded videos at the synchronized time are displayed as "No data."
Adding a bookmark
Bookmark a section of the recording in the timeline.
- Select the section where you want to bookmark and click Bookmark
in the shortcut menu. - Bookmarks set will be indicated by an icon in the Timeline panel, and can be viewed in the Bookmark Details panel or the Bookmarks log panel.
Exporting the video
Export the selected section as a file in the Timeline panel.
- Select the section to export as a file and Click Export video
in the shortcut menu. - Saved videos can be viewed in the Files panel.
