Modifying a map

Modify an added map.
Note: Only users with an Administrator role can modify maps.

To modify the map

  1. On the Home page, click View.
    • Click button on the Tab bar to open the New layout tab.
  2. Click Maps on the View tab navigation bar.
  3. Drag the desired map from the Maps panel to the Scene panel.
    • Map can also be opened by double-clicking the desired item or by right-clicking a selected item in the list and choosing Open from the shortcut menu.
    • Enter a map name in the search bar to quickly find a map; the search is not case-sensitive.
  4. Select on the navigation bar of the Maps tab.
  5. Modify the desired item in the map.
    • When a device or layout item placed on the map is selected, right-clicking it will display a shortcut menu.
      • Open: Opens the selected layout or map. If the corresponding tab is already open, focus moves to that tab; otherwise, a new tab is created.
      • Open in new tab: Always opens the selected map in a new tab.
      • Bring to front: Bring the selected map to the front.
      • Send to back: Sends the selected map to the back.
      • Remove from map: Removes the selected device from the map.
      • Device settings: Navigate to the Device settings menu to configure detailed settings for the device.
  6. Click Save.

Renaming the map

Change the name of the map.

Map names can contain up to 64 characters.

To rename a map from the Map Details panel
  1. Select the tab of the map to be renamed.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the map tab navigation bar, select .
  3. In the Details panel on the right that appears when clicking the map, click the current map name, enter a new name, then press Enter or click .
  4. Click Save in the upper-right corner.
To rename a map from the Maps panel
  1. Select the desired map in the Maps panel on the left.
  2. Right-click it and select Rename.
  3. Change the map name.
  4. Changes are automatically saved when pressing the Enter key or clicking on the Maps tab.
