IVA
Object detection is performed based on virtually defined detection areas. The system can detect different event types including Enter, Exit, Intrusion, and Loiter. Additionally, objects can be detected when they cross user-defined lines in specified directions.
Note: The number of areas and lines that can be added may vary depending on the camera specifications.
To configure IVA
- Click Settings > Devices.
- From the device list on the device settings page, select the desired camera.
- In the Device settings panel, click the IVA tab.
- Click the Areas tab, then configure the detection areas and set rules to detect object entry, exit, intrusion, and loitering within those areas.
- Click the Lines tab, then configure the virtual lines and set rules to detect objects crossing those lines.
- To edit areas to exclude from detection, click Edit excluding areas....
- Once configuration is complete, click Apply.
Configuring areas
Detects object entry (enter, exit), intrusion, or loiter within detection areas. When a detection area is added, it is numbered in the order of addition. The number of areas that can be added may vary depending on the camera specifications.
Note:
When detection areas are added or modified in BLAZE, the changes are reflected in the camera settings.
To add a detection area
- Click the Areas tab under IVA.
- Click Add area.
- Drag on the preview screen to define the motion detection area.
- Click to add vertices at desired positions. Complete the area by double-clicking the last point or the starting point.
- Drag a vertex to move it. Only one vertex can be selected at a time.
- Click the midpoint between two vertices to add a new vertex. The shape can be adjusted by moving vertices. Up to 8 sides can be created.
- Drag the edge of the polygon to resize the entire area.
- To delete a vertex, select it, right-click, and choose Delete vertex or press the [Delete] key.
- Configure object detection rules for the area.
- Enter a name in the Name field for the area of interest. (This feature may not be supported depending on the camera model.)
- Appear (disappear): Triggers an event when an object that was not present stays in the area for a certain duration, or when an object disappears from the area for a certain duration. The minimum duration for trigger can be set.
- Enter: Triggers an event when a moving object enters the detection area.
- Exit: Triggers an event when a moving object exits the detection area.
- Intrusion: Triggers an event when a moving object is detected within the detection area. The minimum duration for triggering can be set.
- Loiter: Triggers an event when a moving object is detected loitering within the detection area. The minimum duration for triggering can be set.
- Object types: Select the type of object to detect in the area. Event are triggered only for the selected object types.
- This setting is available only on AI cameras. It is not displayed on standard cameras.
- Click Apply.
To delete a detection area
- Select the desired area from the preview screen or area list, then click Delete area.
Configuring lines
Detect objects crossing the configured lines.
To add a lineNote: Lines can be configured on the camera. Changes made on the camera are reflected in BLAZE, and vice versa.
- Click the Lines tab under IVA.
- Click Add line.
- Click two points on the preview screen to draw the line.
- Configure detection rules for objects crossing the line.
- Enter a name in the Name field for the line. (This feature may not be supported depending on the camera model.)
- Under Object types, select the type of object to detect when crossing the line.
- This setting is available only on AI cameras. It is not displayed on standard cameras.
- Under Directions, set the direction of detection across the line. Options include A→B, B→A, or both. Events are triggered based on the selected direction.
- Click Apply.
Lines can also be added from the Webpage tab.
- From Settings > Devices, select a camera, then go to the Webpage tab in the Settings panel to access the camera's webpage. From the camera's webpage, click
, then go to Analytics > IVA (Intelligent
Video Analytics) to add or configure lines. - For cameras with an app that supports line features, access the app's webpage via the camera webpage. Click
and go to Open platform >
App list > Go app. In the app's webpage, go to Analytics > Lines to add or configure lines.
To delete a line
- Select the desired line from the preview screen or line list, then click Delete line.
Configuring excluding areas
Excluding areas can be defined to prevent IVA events from being triggered within those regions, even if event conditions are met.
Click Edit excluding areas..., then in the settings dialog window, click Add excluding area and drag on the preview screen to define the area. Excluding areas are numbered in the order of addition, and up to 8 areas can be configured.
To delete an excluding area, select the desired area from the preview screen or list, then click Delete area.
Note:
- Even if event rules are configured, events will not be triggered within the defined excluding areas. These areas are applied to the configured event rules.
- Excluding areas edited in the IVA tab are synced with the excluding area settings in the Objects tab.
